40 Hours of 40K is an annual tabletop gaming fundraiser held in Edmonton, Alberta, bringing together Warhammer 40,000 enthusiasts for an extended gaming experience in support of men’s mental health and suicide prevention.
Players, volunteers, painters, and supporters come together to raise awareness, build community, and generate funds for organizations making a difference in the lives of men facing mental health challenges.
HOW THE EVENT WORKS
40 Hours of 40K brings players together for an extended Warhammer 40,000 gaming event, where the battlefield becomes a place for friendship, teamwork, and fundraising.
Throughout the event, participants play tabletop battles, share stories, and connect with fellow hobbyists while raising money for men’s mental health and suicide prevention.
Supporters can contribute even if they aren't playing. Through donations and special fundraising activities, including our popular Rent-a-Unit initiative, the wider community can get involved and help make a difference.
40 HOURS. YOUR PACE.
The event is divided into ten four-hour gaming slots, with multiple tables hosting battles throughout the 40-hour period. Participants sign up for the games, tables, and time slots that suit their availability.
Players rotate through different tables and sessions, allowing everyone to contribute to the event without committing to the entire 40 hours.
While a few dedicated participants have taken on the challenge of staying for the full event, playing for all 40 hours is never a requirement.
RENT-A-UNIT: BRING REINFORCEMENTS TO THE BATTLEFIELD
Want to deploy something spectacular without owning the model yourself?
Our Rent-a-Unit initiative lets players make an additional donation to field selected miniatures during their games. From powerful war machines to impressive centerpiece models, these reinforcements give players an opportunity to try something different while supporting men’s mental health and suicide prevention.
Available units and their suggested donation amounts are announced ahead of each event. Every deployment contributes to the Foundation’s fundraising efforts, turning memorable battlefield moments into meaningful support for the mission, turning memorable battlefield moments into meaningful support for the mission.
